Ride: AU XR8 220 Manual

Just a question in relation to these type of manifolds which i believe are AU ones.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-AU-XR8-...id=p3286.c0.m14

will these fit directly onto an EB series (actually NC) 5.0 without having steering clearance issues that ive heard about?

will there be any performance benifit over the crappy factory EB ones?

What would be the difference from using these as compared to basic extractors?

will these manifolds sound alot worse than a set of extractors or not?

Cheers guys!

AU standard extractors dont fit in to an E series straight out of the box, we tried on an EL, but failed. You probably could get them to fit with some mods, if I remember right they hit against the chassis rails, but for the effort, you would be better off with an aftermarket set.

from what i've heard, the non xr headers will be o.k. but not sure how much better they'd be over the std crushed e series ones.

They are just as bad. Recently removed a set off the missus car to be replaced by AU 220kw ones.
