Just a roughy here based on a 30% loss by the time it gets to the wheels, 200kw XR8 maybe 140rwkw and 220kw around 155rwkw, there are a lot of variables, but there you go, my NF 5.0 with the little 165kw gave only 101rwkw, but is restricted by gas ring for the LPG it should've been about 115 by these calculations so should be a rough guide.

Thanks, the reason I ask is because a few months back I aquired a new 5.0L v8 motor that was left over from the explorer 4wd in the U.S (gtp40 heads), changed the cam with a 200kw el gt cam and fitted some new tickford extracs, put it in my AU1 1 tonne ute had it on the dyno at chip torque and it produced the figures of 155 rwk and 420nm and was wondering if I was close to an xr8, since then I have upgraded to 1.7 yella terra RR's and changed the 2" twin system to a 2 1/2, cheers

As there is a varied opinion of loss of power through the drive train I am curious if anyone has got actual dyno figures for a AU xr8 before any mods, thanks

well the AU LTD's were rated at 185kw, which was the same motor as the 175kw versions just with a better exhaust

so id say with the stuff youve done the perfomance would at least be on par with a 200kw Xr8
