Looks like a nice beast elXR, price is good too. I didnt see any series 2's or 3's under $30k around Brisbane. The best one I found was a series 3 in Narooma Blue for $35k. I wanted it pretty bad but the guy wouldnt drop below $33k. I told him he was dreamin'.

Incidentally, I bought my car privately.
Does anybody know if there are any companies who will sell an aftermarket warranty on a privately sold vehicle ?

That is a great price, and a great looking car, Kms are just right, Colour is just right, I take it the rims have been rewelded or painted to the new condition. 3 year warranty. If only all car yards had cars like that.

Nice work

Good to hear, I agree with you, I've only had mine for about a week as well, and while I havent driven many cars either, I also reckon the AU XR8 is one of the best sounding and most fun to drive V8's around.
And looks heaps better than the BA XR's.

yeah i love the AU XR's in silver it's even better, i wouldn't mind one myself, and IMHO i like the look of the AU XR 2 and 3 better then the BA's, the BA was alright for me when it came out but it just died off for me and the AU XR's took over again, they are very nice cars.

probably would agree with you on that one. Even though I still love the BA's the AU XR's look more agressive I reckon :D

I must admit, as far as agressive looks go, the AU XR has it, however, I was reading a Ford edition of Street Machine recently, and there is a guy who has done very similar mods to his BA XR8 as I have on my AU, and hes getting around 530 RWHP with 10psi of boost.
Mine only runs at about 360 RWHP with 8psi.
Admittedly I bought mine kind of unfinished and out of tune (its in now being done properly)
But I must say, much respect to the BA for squeezing out those sort of figures.
