hey guys i have done a search but couldn't find a solid answer. there seems to be some speculation about what cams and rockers the later series 2/3 au utes got.
well up here in qld its pissing down and i had nothing better to do that pull the rockers off my au ute. i've only owned this for about 2 months, and its virtually stock.
it has yella terra rockers, with no number stampings in them, so i'm fairly sure they would be 1.72's. they are also the same as what i put into my EL. what i am unsure of is what cam would have been used in these later engines? my thoughts would be the 220kw cam.... has any1 actually removed a cam who also had the yella terra rockers?

I am pretty sure the XR8 utes were only 200kw.

The 220kW cam has less duration @ 050 than the 200kW cam. It was actually the modified heads that made the AU3 XR8 220kW engines more powerful than the AU2 XR8 200kW engine. The cam specs from Yella Terra are

AU2 XR8 = 210/210
AU3 XR8 = 203/209 (up to April 2001)
AU3 XR8 = 206/212 (from May 2001 onwards)

Any yes, the utes only got a 200kW engine but many seemed to get the Yella Terra roller rockers.
