i had a problem where the connection that screws on to the battery was loose and the car actually turned off while i was driving. i tightened it back up and it was idling rough. Took it to the mechanics and they said that if the connection comes off while the motor is running or it dies it can trip the computer and stuff up settings or something like that.

normal it need the base idle reset and some cars you can do maunaly but some you have to get a scan tool to do it to

More info needed. The extra time taken to replace the battery would have erased the KAM. Therefore it needs to re-adapt for a good idle.
Having said that it should idle pretty good without adapting unless something else has happened or changed that we don't know about?
