Hey, just bought a AUIII 220kw XR8...

its tricked out with all the tickford bits n pieces... the tockford exhaust which is twin all the way thro... the suspention, the calipers and the mags... im used to driveing a BA Falcon with full lukey system and king springs all round and the XR8 makes the BA seem slow and rough...

im just trying to figure out what to do first, i want to do the air intake then a 3 inch single pipe exhaust, then later down the track a set of lumpy cams...

If anybody has any idea on some small mods i can do to get a little more power out of it before i move onto big ticket items let us know if ya can...

cheers...

Run a dual 2.5" rather than a 3".

Other than this the 220kw is already tricked up pretty well although it would be worth putting a hotter cam in there and a custom tune. THis should see you at about 200rwkw.

Obviously you can get more power than this but big $$$ is need to be spent on a stroker setup or s/charging.

yea i think diff gears may be the way to go eventually, itm quite happy with how fast she is now but i will make a few big mods in future, but as stated in a previouse reply, its got the tikford mods which does a fair bit... but diff gears and cams are on the list... i think the first thing will be a growler air intake kit for it with a k&n pod filter... just for that little kick... any other ideas? they r sounding good so far...
