My EF XR8 is an automatic and would like a manual. How hard/costly is it to change an auto to a manual.

You can change it in the backyard.. The box can cost anything really. $2500 I've seen at wreckers. However on Ebay the other day a V8 + a gearbox got sold for only $3000.

well u will need the pedal box, clutch, flywheel, bellhousing etc
also the V8 t5 box driveshaft as well??? then u need to take the dash out to install the pedal box

Mate I think that you will find that the tailshafts are the same length, its the bellhousing and input shafts that are longer. Maybe from 6-8 they are different

we can supply you a complete kit to convert your auto to a manual $2200 plus freight (about $100) Darren |
