My G220 has done over 300,000km and the Triton 5.4 3V is dead. It's the Canadian built engine, not the local product. Anyone know where I can get a reco short motor in Australia pronto?

Apparently Bursons are agents for motors. Be sure to specify what you are after!

Yep Bursons have them through HM Gem Engines. $6800 for the long motor or $4,000 to recondition the existing one.
My guys at South West Automotive on Torquay are going to pull it out and recondition it themselves.
Thanks for the hint though!

Could very well be one in Moolap but my boys at South West Automotive are my relo's and I support their business, as they do mine. They are also damn fine mechanics.

It appears that the whole bottom end has crapped itself. I am still waiting for more info from Simon about the status but we have decided whatever the condition, it will be rebuilt. One month off the road so I have to suffer with the wife's Alpha 156 Monza (a damn fun car to drive!.

Do you still need an engine? A mate just wrecked out a G220, and still has all the running gear. Low k's too, IIRC.

Let me know, and i'll pass you his details.

Cheers,
8-)
