hey guys im selling my beloved ea falcon to get a new car i realy want an el xr8 i want to have the v8 sound and hopefully power but im not sure if they are bang for the buck in the power wise is there anything i should look out for and is it easy and cheepish to get decent power out of them?
also manual or auto i have heared they are pretty slugish in the take off with the auto

for the same price as the xr8 i can pretty much get a 32 gtst or some jap crap witch is cheap and easy to get power out of but every one has them and i honestly dont want to many head aches

any advise or tips or options on another ford v8 would be much appreciated

also is there much differance between the 170 kw el to the 185? and is there much differance from the standered falcon 5.0 to the xr8

cheers fellas

Bang for buck the Skyline will get you down the 1/4 cheaper and faster.
Supercharging is the most cost effective way to get the big numbers out of the XR8 apart from diff ratio change.
Other guys here will shed more light on it.
