A mate has picked up a 351 Cleveland originally from an XC and on the heads at each end the word GAS is stamped. Is he right in assuming these heads have been changed to suit LPG and unleaded ?? and thats why GAS has been stamped on them. ? Previous owner was un-aware.
Cheers.

No idea. Pull an exhaust valve out and see if it has hardened seat inserts installed.

Yep.....that was the thing to do back in the day, after they were set up for LPG, the reco guy would stamp them with GAS.....so, it should have hard valves & seats.
