Hi all,

been having clutch issues with the beast for the last 3 months, new cable, then it started playing up again, not disengaging when you push the pedal in, not going into gear because of this. Finally took it bak to get looked at again today, my Firewall is cracked, which is grabbing the cable.... What a pain in the freakin a**. Spoke to a mate who's a panel beater, and he said those famous last words....

"if you pulled the engine out".... haha. I'm thinking it could be a sign, but will have to put the car off the road for a while to do the build up. I'm thinking why not, what would you guys do....?

cheers,

Will

Yeah evan with V8s the repair can happen with engine still in the car i found if your clutch is really heavy too replace the imput shaft sleave on your gearbox "the one the realse bearing slides on" as this wears & causes clutch to go rock hard :)

ended up plating it up, i can' get over how thhin the steel was, it's a bit of a joke, i think the material my shirt is made out of is thicker. the plate we used is thick as, not sure dimensions, but i know it's not gonna flex again anytime soon. was a freakin pain in the a** to get to though, but she changes gears smooth as the day i got the clutch put in now, marvellous....
