half the websites i look at tell me 185 EL XR8 series 2 engines came out with gt40 heads and the other half tell me they came out of E7's.

Me personally i always thought series 2's came with GT40's due to all the AU's running GT40's even the 175 kw stock forte 5 litres and the Au XR8 series 1 had same 185 engine as the EL xr8 series 2's did(as far as i know), and factory they come out with EL GT headers, and what heads did the EL GT use?, GT40's, and the normal headers can't be put on gt40's they don't fit properley, and i thought all the falcons that came out with the explorer intake manifold had GT40's?
i just got off the phone with FTG auto salvage and they seem to think that 185 el engines had gt40's in em as well.

so in the end question is they come out with the gt40's or not?

the headers are the real thing that got me made me think they must run GT40's but just want to see what other people think

aus run gt40ps, not gt40s... also know as the turbo swirl head.. coz the spark plugs are moved around a wee bit..

eb/elgt and ed sprints run gt40 heads..

el2 xr8s are definately e7te and yes they do run elgt extractors.. coz the gt40 and e7 heads have same plug positions..

aus are only 175kw thanx to a grandma spec cam.

Only the FBT got GT40P heads of the E or N series, whatever you want to call them.

-clampy- is right though, EL2XR8's only got E7's with EL GT extractors
