The peak lift on the 2030 (1.6) and 2031 (1.72) is much the same so valve wear will be much the same between the two of them. The ramp rates on the 2030 is a little quicker so it produces a little more power in low to mid but it would take a dyno to work out the power differences between them.

I'm still running the 2031 with mine. Had no prob's. Good all round cam. Makes good power. 1.7 roller rockers a must. It wouldn't hurt to get a new convertor. I believe the Ford ones tend to slip more.
