Hi peoples i have a eb xr8 with a stuffed air con, the bearing is that worn out that it whines that much that i can't hear my motor run in the car while i am driving, just want to know whether the aircon pumps are the same between a 6 and v8, Would appreciate the help

The I6 & V8 a/c compressors are different, and there are 2 different types of V8 compressors. One is for R12 (red directional arrow on sticker) and the other is for R134a (green directional arrow on sticker). Only early EB's got the R12 compressor.

dam, well of to the wreckers then, i have a 1991 eb xr8 the first series with the r12 comp, We have u pull it in adelaide and well if the 6 was the same would have been great cause they have a s**t load but of to a ford wreckor i guess, cheers any ways mate

not to worried whether the lines hook up want to know whether the pulley is the same or do i just make a pulley as it has had gas for a long time
