I am thinking of doing a manual conversion on my 5.0L EB fairmont ghia just A couple of things I want to find out before I start the conversion do I need to change the ecu and will the cruise control still work and will I need A pedal box that has A switch on the clutch pedal to disengage cruise control when clutch pedal is depressed any replies will be much appreciated

1- do I need to change the ecu - no [as long as you dot the resistor 'trick'_ do a search ... or ask lol i won't know all the answers ]

2- will the cruise control still work - yes [if your still using your ECU]

3- will I need A pedal box that has A switch on the clutch pedal to disengage cruise control when clutch pedal is depressed - use what you have & fit say a malwood conversion

Cruise control will still work, but it's best if you find a manual ECU. You'll need to disconnect the transmission TCM, and you'll definatley need to add a clutch switch.
