How dodgy can it be?
Thinking about buying a 302...
How much roughly would it cost me to recon a 302?

Thanks for the link it has given me some stuff to think over.
Just for the record, is a 351 goin a bit heavy?
Or will it be a good 8 for my EF?

I'd suggest doing some research into what engines are available.

Forget Clevo's as you'll have headaches getting it legal..
302 windsors are what came in EF's and are easily available.
351 windsors are available, but not as common.

if you're 100% set on going for a 302 windsor, then work out what you want to spend.
because ultimately that dictates what you're going to get.

work out your budget, then let us know and we can advise your best options.

Ok.
1. Engine Block: $>800
2. Rest of car, up to $4000

Roughly of course, i don't mind paying a bit extra for the v8 block itself if its in great condition.
My plan for whatever motor i decide on keeping will be, headers (hi flo and zorst), diff and the usuals.
definetly a manual conversion if i go for the v8

You're better off finding a car with a V8 in it already. Converting from 6 to 8 is going to be a pain in the a***.

Agreed.
Thank you all for your input and opinions, from what i have heard i'm going to keep the 6 that's in it at the moment and mod it up :)

Will keep a look out for a nice little V8 ef/el for a project.

Cheers, Josh
