I have an ED 94 V8 which is leaking oil from the engine smp gasket. iam going to pull the motor out to replace all the seals and just check anythinng over. Are there any little mods i can do it while it out e.g cams etc.

gee, mate...ya sound just like us...where do ya want to start??? first off the bat i would say baffle sump and then girdle...next rod bolts(the walls of the block have been thinned to cut on weight)...get rid of that bloody useless snorkel and get that thing to breathe(AU snorkel will fit with thermo fans...minor mods)...ya can upgrade the cam and get some older windsor heads(no air injection knobs)...the older heads have stud mounted rockers...ya can get this all from ebay...there is still your injectors, computer, manifolds, fuel pump, and alternator, ignition syatem...just to name a few!!! I would recommend atleast 36 pound injectors coz ya 19 pounders only handle 250 hp at 80% duty cycle

ebay has cheap stroker kits for around $1000 bucks...Has steel crank, forged steel rods and forged pistons :D

Get a set of Alloy heads while your at it. Edelbrocks or AFR 165's. + the 347 and thats a pretty stout engine.

I was told the 347 strocker kits on ebay wouldnt last long

you have a nodular iron crank shaft and weak mallable iron conrods and hyperotectic piston . the kits you get on ebay are steel crank and forged steel conrods forged piston. which sounds stronger to you?
