hi guys,

as you can see by the pic, i have grinded some fittings which where welded on by previous owner. so now what do i do with it? polishing would be extremely time consuming! so what would you guys recommend? powder coat or paint!

cheers fella's!

i would give it a light sand, and clean then spray with Septone Engine Aluminium paint. Comes up pretty shiny, but needs a recoat every few months to keep the shine

Or you could post it to me and i'll polish it for $110 :)

Heres some stuff ive worked on

lol if only i had a spare $100....so aluminium paint you say. it appears its been sand blasted before? so the grinded/sanded parts will be smooth while the rest is bumpy. would it pay to lightly sandblast it again? start fresh. then spray straight away!

Grind off the edelbrock lettering and then bead blast it. Then powdercoat it silver.

i think i might just take it into work and sandblast the neck, doesnt look right, being so flat and smooth, unlike the rest! but cheers for the reply's guys! indeed a rpm2 upper would be great!!

Haha do you know how dirty it is polishing alloy ???
Black polish every where !!
On a buffing wheel it is !!!
Hard work too !!!

I'v seen some nice black powder coated inlets...
Trouble with pollished alloy, it needs continuous maintinance and looks crap, while powder coating still looks good...
