Depends entirely on the specs of your engine?

not sure what trick flow manifold it is. its alot larger then the standard one might be a street heat one. and port matching the heads to the manifold. plenum and manifold are pretty well matched

Ok, a street heat is only on par with an explorer.
Unless you have a TFS R-series manifold and the heads(you don't specify which ones they are?) are hogged out big time I wouldn't be using a cam that goes to 6800.

finally got back on here. the manifold i got with the heads is an explorer manifold the trick flow one i got from the states is heaps bigger in the ports compared to the explorer one. plus engine specs have changed now with the stroker kit and pistons im using the ci is now 353 and 2000rpm-6000rpm cam and just over 10.5-1 comp ratio. plus for futue refference waht sor of after market ecu would be good to put in it eg haltech

Let me know the part # of the TFS intake?
What bore size gives you a 353?
An 80mm Mercury Marauder MAF will do you for that combo...I mean with those heads.
You don't need to go aftermarket for the ECU either.

no worries man when i get down to the shop ill write it down.
well with the standard bore it was going to be a 347. wee have bored it out 40thou over im pretty sure and when we worked it out it scrapped in at the 353 mark. the stroker kit that we are using is a scat one with h beam rods and the pistons have a teflon coated skirt.
sweet i was hoping i would have to go after market for the ecu fro what i have seen on the net perth boys are pullen decent hp using the sct chip plus a guy from a perfomance shop in newcastle said its a real pain in the a** to wire up an after market ecu in the e-serries
your help has been much appreciated

No worries,
I suspected that you were going past .030" to get the 353ci figure which is concern for outright power. 5.0's are pretty thin in the cylinder walls and combined with a 3.4 stroke you'll have considerable side loads on the cylinder wall. Knowing that, it's probably a good thing that outright power will be limited by your heads and most likely the intake too. You're engine should survive ok in that case. You might also consider a Dart sportsman short block?...for the money they are at the moment it's pretty hard to pass up.
Just been having a look and it seems the Marauder MAF is fairly difficult to come by now. You may have better luck finding a '96-up Cobra 80mm MAF or you can go aftermarket with a Pro-M 77-80mm job.
