Sorry for the dumb question guys but I couldn't find the answer after searching.

I was wondering if the V8 engines have two mounts on them to attach to an engine hoist? I can only see one off the rear of the motor driver's side? I have checked both of my newly acquired v8's (normally work on 6's, these are first 8's) and cannot see another anywhere?(the 6's have 2). Do they have 2/ meant to have 2? OR do you have to pull off the intake and bolt your own mount in?

Cheers

Remove the upper manifold and bolt on one of these. The engine will be balanced when lifting.

With only one hook at the back, you'll have to bolt the chain to the front of the cylinder head on the diagonally opposite side. I use 1 tonne rated nylon straps and D shackles to lift my engines out. Chains can cause damage and move on the crane hook.
