Hey, my EF 5 litre is running EXTREMELY rich when it's cold, exhaust smells real fuelly, and it blows a fair amount of BLACK smoke, until it's warmed up, this is DEFINATLEY fuel smoke from running rich, not blue oil smoke, but when it's warmed up it's fine, I unplugged the fuel pressure regulator and the AFM to test, and it is still doing it. Also run a bottle of injector cleaner through it, however, when it's warm, it doesnt run rich and seems to work fine. What can I check next?

o2 sensors could be VERY old, as they were the ones on the engine when I fitted the V8, also, how do I clean the maf wire?

Do a self test...could be as simple as an ECT sensor.
