hi guys im just wondering what sorta power the poor gurl has. just after a rough sorta figure...

car is a 96 ef xr8, ss cold air inductions k&n panel filtr, pacie comps, twin 3'' stainless mandrell bent pipes all the way to the back, high flow cats, 2.500 high stall. chipped trans. oh yeah and :cry: 290000 clicks on the clock

she may be a bit tired after running the supercharger on stock internals. of well back to na options for a bit lol

na still got the charger but had to take it off to get my car thrue regency park.(road worthy certificate.)... i made a little to much noise 1 night and the cops followed my exhaust strait to me... defected me big time so ill get it cleared then i will have it installed again... wat a pain in the a***... lol i only had it on for two weeks with the cooler. and didnt even have time to get a dyno read out. of well that will learn me for hooning as they say...

u should try and make it to the mega meet. i think im gonna drive up.

oh yeah forgot to mension... i took it for a bit of a run with the cooler equipped and the power seemed al;ot smoother. with ++ extra power. i would have loved to seen the look on the faces of sum of the cars i passed... lol

have u found a good cooler kit for urs yet. i spoke to my ,mate who fabricated mine and he reckons give him a month and he will have a more efficient cooler made for the hi displacment v2... should b good...

stock as the ef should have about 155 at the wheels. where in adelaide are you. what youve done was my dream car when I had my ef XR8 but unfortunately work stepped in and the ute had to come.

What? The stock engine has 165fwkw, there's more drivetrain loss than that.

I dare say he may have been talking about rwhp, in which case, I would agree with him.

I have the cooler (from the hybrid group buy), but haven't installed it or gotten the piping done.

If you could take some pics when it comes time to re-install yours of mounting places, and where the piping actually goes, that would be much appreciated. Might give me an idea how to go about mine.

The red book is wrong on this occassion.
The stockers were 165 & the XR8's 170.

When I find my owners manual (god knows where it is) I will scan the page and post it.

yeah I think that red book is suss, theres a few cars ive seen in there that have the wrong power write ups.

hey soo would any 1 be able to give me rough figure with mods ive done to here.

atm she has a nice aerodynamic mod in the a** end. i swear the tree was out to get me. lol...

With the standard maf, tb & intake manifold, I think you would be lucky to gain another 10fwkW, no matter what else is done to it. Though those mods will give you a torque increase (plus make it sound a s**t better) through the low and mid rev range until it starts to get strangle by what I talked about before.
