hey all, having bit of an issue atm. on the way home from powercruise few months ago blew a head gasket and finally just got it all back together yesterday, then wont start.
did the timing with a light so many times, took dizzy out and adjusted crank put dizzy bak in to no avail, so really confused some help would be greatly appreciated |

Check for correctly earthed engine on #1 short head bolt, spark & fuel. If they are OK, it should start. If one/both don't work, do a fault scan

it def has spark checked that, and plugs are wet from fuel. the earth on that bolt wont fit anymore because i put in a arp head stud kit so i moved it to the middle bolt holding the alternator braket to the head. will that not get a good enuf earth??

Do you have spark ?? Are you sure the plugs are wet from fuel ??
It should be either spark or fuel ?? Borrow or buy a noid light and plug into an injector connector... Check that all the loom connections are well pushed in... Check smartlock or internal / S/L fuse ???

yer man its strong spark, yer plugs were completely wet, quite confident that all the plugs are in. think smartlock is fine. seems like timing as its trying to kick over.

Are you 180 degrees out with the dizzy?
Remember theres 2 TDC's for one complete engine revolution. How far was the engine stripped? Did the cam come out for some reason? Or was it just simply heads off, then back on?

thats what we thought at first but we switched everything round bout a million times ay. goin to me mechanic wednesday now as i havent had a car for ages and stressing out haha. motor was just stripped down and heads taken off( big job these fuel injected cars)

got car bak today all good except one thing, mechanic had same issue but it fixed itself. anyway starts up fine idles fine and revs and drives fine, but after its warm will randomly at idle start goin up and down idlelin all ova tha place and if u turn off then will b hard to start but will. some ideas would be alrite, battery pretty flat but chargin it tonite n see how it goes
