Yeah i have had the starting problem aswell, I have tried everything, fuel filter, cleaning maf and T/B, different fuels (currently using BP ultimate), changed fuel pump, etc.... I just cant seem to find the problem with it. But i do find if i have the car on a slight angle when i park (nose down a*** up0 that it will fire straight away. like there is not enough fuel pressure, or there is too much air getting into the lines. BUt alas i still can seem to fix.
So if you or anyone else knows how to fix.... Please tell.

If you change the fuel filter get a Ryco Z373. They are the easiest to fit as they have an aluminium body and threads so they seal much better than a steel cased fuel filter.

To change the fuel filter firstly go into your boot and lift up the boot carpet. On the left side there is a lid help on by 4-6 screws. Undo that and unplug the larger of the two plugs.
Try and start your car. It will splutter and die. The fuel lines now no longer have pressure in it and its safe to change the fuel filter.
Wear safety goggles and climb under the car and remove the fuel filter located in front of the rear left wheel. Use a spanner to hold the fuel filter and get another to undo the union. Do the same for the other side and presto you can remove the filter. If the fuel lines are in the way just slightly bend the line out of the way until you can slide the filter from the bracket it sits in.

Once you've fitted the new filter and plugged in the power back on the fuel pump your ready to start the car.
Most importantly the fuel filter can not have any leaks whatsoever. If there is a drip every 10 minutes or more this is not acceptable. NO LEAKS ARE PERMITTED.

Remember you are dealing with a fuel filter so protect your eyes and hands when removing.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

I had a friend of mine who has an EB and knows his fords take it for a drive,

He says theres a big problem with my fuel, I'm losing about 40% power.

I know what he's talking about, but I just assumed these were cruiser V8's and not suppose to have balls.

It has bugger all power in second and just revs it's tits off without any torque.
He reckons it's the fuel pump or filter and it's restricting how much fuel it gets, and not making power.

I don't know.. I suppose I'll take it to a decent mechanic and tell him to fix everything he can find.

Did you use a new pump or another 2nd hand one?
How was the fuel sock in the tank? Check you don't have a split in any of the intank lines. What is your fuel pressure? Is fuel pressure maintained after you turn the key off?

75mm T-body is too big..... get ready for a drop in performance. You need a 65mm T-body.

Where would I be without this place? :D

Should I get the chip and flash tune after I add the T-Body?
Should I get a MAF aswell?
What intake should I be leaning toward, it currently has the standard box with GT Snorkel

Alot of what I said hasn't been done, but..
Finally it's at my uncles.

I managed to get rear ended by a bimbo in a work car which mangled the rear bar a bit.

By saturday i'll have:

New bar, painted
New chrome moulds front and back (back ones i can't get anymore, so i'm forced to get some sticker pin striping custom made which only lasts 6 months :( :( )
grill repainted
new headlight
turning lamps hooked up as spottys
complete cut polish and wax etc
new exhaust tip

and a few other bits i can't think of right now.
Should look pretty shmick after it :D

And HOPEFULLY I've got some money left over for a mod.. I really want an explorer top end, so maybe i'll aim for that.

Ok, so I'm working alot of O/T and have grand put away already, hopefully I'll have 2k free next week.

What will an explorer manifold set me back?
and whats needed to go along with it?

Will I need to upsize my throttle and MAF? if so what size?
and what about intake, i've got a EL GT snorkel going to a standard airbox with a K&N filter, ideas?

on ebay at the moment there is a explorer manifold and t/body for bout $200. its off a au so it should have a 65mm t/body, i think. it might even have the lower aswell, cant remember. have a look in ford v8 parts on ebay

wont get much better than that mate. ive got a aunger snorkel, cut the hole in the airbox where the snorkel meets out to bout 18cm, sealed the whole lot up and noticed fuk all, thats with a k&n filter. biggest restricion would be the stock maf. pics of snorkel in gallery, i think
