Yeah, mine was too quiet when I revved mine while it had stock exhaust. The Windors have a nice sound when launched and take off up the road.

I'd definately wait around for an el fairmont ghia over the fairmont. I've had both el fairmont and ghia and its definately better having the ghia. You get leather, premo sound, 3:45 LSD with the V8, leather wrapped steering wheel, handbrake cover and gear selector, speed sensitive steering and the gutsy sound of a V8.
I picked up mine as you see it excluding the wheels, sunroof and clear indicators for around $15,000 about 6 months ago with 115,000kms on the clock.
All I can say is wait around for one, and its definately worth the little bit of extra petrol money to run the 8. Here's a pic of mine anyway just for the record....

Cheers Timmeh......same to you.

I've got pacemaker extractors, twin cats, into a single 2 1/2" out the rear with no rear muffler. Going to put a twin 2 1/2" soon cause the single just isn't quite loud enough.

PB of 15.88 - wasn't thrilled with it but......

pretty sure injectors could do with a clean cause it used to run on gas and pings a bit on unleaded fuel although fine on premium undleaded (timing was done). Also just a few weeks ago found one of the leads hanging off when we went to change the spark plugs so I have no idea how long it was running on 7 cylinders - could have been at Heathcote like that for all I know. So I'm looking forward to getting it dynoed and re-run down the 1/4, but i reckon i gained 20-30kw after hooking the lead back up!!!
