Hey guys,

Just a note to say that it seems the fairmont now is playing ball. She always seemed a bit slugish. So after doing the following she's alot more sprity and after driving a couple of other EL v8's she seems snappier. Albeit, putting the throttle anywhere past 50% doesnt yeild any more pulling - just noise, so I figured thats what Windsors do (I drove a 97 EL XR8 with the HO Intake and an EL XR8 S2 with explorer manifold and they did it too - did Ford just go.. hmm need a V8.. that will do..chuck it in)Does that sound about right? I suspect the o2 sensor or something is RS.. as she really smells rich.. anyway..(need to get it checked for codes.. side thought)

- Replaced sparkplugs
- Replaced ignitition leads
- Replaced Rotor
- Replaced MAF
- Replaced Rotor Cap
- Replaced Coil
- Replaced Exhaust from Cat back 2.5inch (note.. exhaust guy said my cats after temperature testing could be RS)
- Injector clean
- Set timing to 32
- Set TPS to .98V (well my vault meter fluctuated between .98 and .99)

Next plan of attack is a new set of Injectors, replaced fuel pump (which I STILL havent done) and filter.

I appreciate everyones help.. I came to this forum knowing litterally nothing about cars.. so I am looking forward to contributing some more.
