It's the same manifold that's used on later AU XR8s and on V8 Ford Explorers IIRC. The name Showa also springs to mind. Not sure about pricing tho.

LSD: The manifold used on the AU motors isn't the same as the ELGT. The AU manifold is called the explorer manifold (obviously orginating from the explorer truck) The type used on the EL GT is the cobra manifold. Although they are quite similar in flow specs, the Coba upper is a tubular design as seen in the pic in the first post, the AU upper is different. Its runners are different.

The lower manifolds are the same design EBGT/ED Sprint/ELGT/FBT to AU

The regular 165/175 kw motors eb - el you cannot interchange the uppers as the regular manifolds have oval ports which are inline, the cobra and explorer style have circular ports which are staggered.

I hope that helps you

The bottom part was the same but in this case its either Cobra or Explorer..
The GT40 had the tubular upper like the EB GT...

Cobra and Explorer essentially have the same cfm figures. The cobra outflowing it on average about 1cfm from what I've read.

Jaysen on these forums I believe bought one from the states, you can ask him how much it cost him to have it shipped here.

i have noticed that the us mustang 5.0 intake has the throttle body facing the wrong side, can you simply turn the upper section around to Aus spec.?

Yes the US have the intake on the opposite side with all their 5L manifolds, nearly all of which can just be reversed for use in Australia. The Holley Systemax is the only one that I can recall not beign able to be reversed.
