has any one have any ideas???? my xr8 now and then has a idle problem, it will run good then all of a sudden the idles will drop also i notice the oil pressure and the volts will go down with the idle problem, then i switch it back to fuel from gas and then back to gas again and it will be ok for awhile, also if i dont switch it over it corrects itself after a awhile, it seems like it has a electrical problem????? the car can run great for days then all of a sudden it will do this, any ideas, can a faulty oil pressure switch etc cause a problem like this , im thinking a electrical problem i notice when the cars idles start to drop and make it start to starve for gas the lights go dimmer and the gauges go down, and when i start to rev the car the gauges go up and the dash lights get brighter any ideas????

Check the main power cable/ connector on the big bolt on the rear of the alternator (car NOT running!). If everything is getting discoloured and burnt, you may be having power supply problems. This happened to mine and things went crazy all over the car at random times.
