Howdy all.

I'm hoping to put together a list of quality engine rebuilders in the Melbourne area, who have plenty of experience in EFI Windsors. I'm certainly aware of Mick Webb but am keen to chat with as many rebuilders as possible before a decision is made. If you have experienced a good engine rebuild in Melbourne then please tell me about them and their work.

Orger Engines Scoresby rd Bayswater. Nice and close to you vic.
They do alot of machine work for ford and many V8 Super car teams. What Peter and lindsey dont know about engine building aint worth knowing. They do all our Rolls Royce and Jaguar engine machine work, these are some expensive engines to rebiuld and i wouldnt trust anyone else.

I'll second that. :D

Although I assemble my own engines I get all my machining work done at Orger's, have been for 15yrs and never a complaint.. :D :D

In fact I'll be down there in the next few weeks to get the new motor sorted out so I'll get prices for machining and assembly, etc.

I'll second SteadyED, give Vic a call at EAS, in Tullamarine.
As SteadyEd said, he's building 'Wild6's stroker. Should be looking at 500+hp he was saying, from a 347.
Definately worth having a chat to him anyways, at least to price everything up.

Competition Engines in Westall are very good, do heaps of ford windsors. Did the tune on mine and service mine aswell. Very good blokes and are more than helpfull. And not as expensive as Mick Webb as I've delt with both.

Sounds interesting!
While my budget is important to me, the quality of the builder and his work is vital.
I will talk to all three mentioned so far. Please keep them coming.

Thanks mate. Co-incidentally I came across that name too which was suggested to me yesterday. I have contacted some of the ones suggested so far and G&D is on my list to call during the week.

Yes my car's been to DBA before and it was an excellent result.
DBA is still on my list and may yet play a part in this adventure.
