Hi all,
Could you please advise on how to remove the oil filter in a 1993 fairlane nc v8. Seems that clearance is absolutely crazy.... There's no room from top or bottom. HELP!
Thanks

yeah its a pain in the a** man, you dont have much choice but to just keep working with it, you will find a spot thats good for you but might take some time, also try going from the top of the engine bay thats how i did mine, but i have thermo fans so made it a little easier

Jack it up an go from underneath. The 5.0 is piss easy to do.

You need to fiddle around due to the K frame, but it's pretty easy.

From your experience, have you been able to get a strap wrench into the opening at the bottom?

Thanks all, ended up buying bigger hammer a d screwdriver and smashing the thing off. All good now, fresh castrol titAnium in, new filter, and overhauled ignition system with iridium plugs. She's running awesome now.

While you were buying those you could have got the proper tool (claw remover) and be able to do it easier next time...
