Hi There,

This is my first play with Ford stuff and would really appreciate any info on wether this conversion is reasonably straight forward.
I have an FG XR8 damaged with all the running gear(only damaged in rear so all frt is good)and have an AU fairlane i would want to put it all into,,it looks very similar to the BF fairlane shell so was thinking it might not be a big problem conversion..

Thanks in advance

Jump on AFF and read CAT600's TerminatorS Build thread. It will answer ALOT of questions.

Despit having an FG donor car you better have deep pockets to contemplate this conversion... As above read CAT600's build on AFF, keep in mind he has access to a massive range of workshop equipment, did most of the work himself, and still spent a small fortune.

you will need a few BA/BF parts (sump etc) to make up for the differences in the AU/FG platform. other than that engine conversions arnt that hard IF you KNOW what you are doing. otherwise expect to spend a lot of money or a lot of time to get it sorted.
