Hey all you ... ive got a 302 clevo that ive stroked out to a 409 set of 3v alloys flowed big time crane roller rockers full stud kit the hole works its got a monster solid roller cam with 700 lift in it im over a thousand ks away from the nearest dyno im woried about the first start we do that i dont do any damage to my baby.... any advice would be greatly appreciated . :idea: :?:

yes i live in the desert eastern pilbara region nearest dino with good operator is perth thats 1600 ks away

we expect to have close to 550hp at the treads and ive got a 150hp wetshot of gas for it should tak me close to650 at the treads the cam ive got is a solid roller with 700 lift wicked fat torque curve right up to 7200rpm

yes it is natrully asperated and its going to have a lot of power but it wont have much road maners not like a v8 super car this will pritty much be piont and squirt car and will have to reset valve clearances and what not every time i take it out and give it a hiding so thats the price i pay for a hollywood motor the cam is huge so it'll have very bad manners but ive got a 4000 stall converter so that should help the drivability when just going slow

its going in a 71 model xy Fairmont that is fully factory optioned looks like grandads car lol so it should shock a few people when they get hosed by it lol true SLEEPER style exccept for the rumble of the cam

Are you going to half chassis this thing? If not you'd wanna hope it doesn't hook up at full nail, you could end up with 1 very twisted XY.

i will be putting a brace from center piler to center piller with a loop for the tail shaft and shocky towers to fire wall What do you mean by half shassis advice would be appreciated

The cam has to be run in properly, some run till warm at 1500 to 2000 rpm on SINGLE valve springs . Then changeto double or whatever you have,,,Thats if you ae using flat tappet cam...
Rings / cam bed in the first few miles, don'tlet it idle too long while cam is beeding in.... Follow cam makers instructions...
