Anyone here driven one of these? Cause I was interested since they seem to be pretty cheap nowadays for what you get. Is there any significant difference between the Fairlane and LTD apart from the badging?

I would have at most $20,000 to spend, and would spend some of it on lowering the car a little and getting some 18" chrome rims. The audio system Im assuming is pretty good, so is there any need to upgrade it? Also a meatier sounding exhaust (not too loud) is something I would consider.

The LTD comes with a 8' free air sub, it is quite decent but when pumped it often shakes the parcel shelf and produces an annoying whine.
Fairly decent thou. Great car, personally im looking to buy a EL ghia or NL fairlane  Maybe in 2 or so years.

Nah, I prefer the DL. I like the look better, and of course its newer. :D I don't think the DC had leather seats.

Hmm, I doubt that would be too much of a problem. Would a new sub make the problem any better?

Not all DC's had leather!

Mine is a black DC. I fell in love with them when they came out in 88 and I had to buy one.
Question is do you prefer the DA type or DF type.
They all have the same options, ie V8, sunroof, etc
I love the digi dash in the DC. :)
They 8" sub is good untill you want bass. Then it goes in the bin for a boxed set up. They amp these things comewith is very high standard and you can contiune to use ut to run the fronts (which run of the HU factory) and the rears. Bigger amp would be optium for the boxed sub.

DF/DL's have a way better shape than the DC's. Id definitely go for the DL with cappucino leather interior, looks awesome

a DF/DL is okay if you want your LTD to look like a normal falcon......... :)

DC looks chunkier and more unique compared to the base model.
