Pretty sure Au1 had GT40P's as per all other standard AU models onwards, standard power levels should give that away, pretty sure stockers i.e. LTD etc had 175KW.

Yep, will have 4 vertical bars cast into them on front and rear of heads instead of 3.
Will have GTP cast into them near head bolts at the front and the plug angle difference.

From the sounds of it the plugs would have to stick out at 90degrees from the heads to foul number five pipe, after looking at my e7s with a roughly 45 degree plug angle.
Going to check an au motor out today at the wreckers, ill see if its got the 40p,s and also if it comes with the maf 8-) .

yeah they pretty much do.
some wanker put them on my sprint, and they are very difficult with genie extractors.
i have 90 deg plug boots and also accel heat shield socks, they are very tight, i have to use a modified socket to get plugs in and out (cut down socket with nut welded on the end, then use a ringy).

i am hoping difilippo 4-1s will fit a bit better?
that or does anyone want to swap 40Ps for iron (or alloy LOL) 40s?

Advance do a header to suit GT40p heads in an Eseries if you are looking to purchase some headers to suit.
