What can ya do to a 302clevo thats running on straight gas to give it some get up and go?? Can you get LPG carbys with bigger jetts and stuff like that? I have no idea about this :oops:

you can buy a 425 straight gas carby, and that will give you a noticeable difference. has the engine been rebuilt for gas? if not changing to a gas cam will make a difference to performance, along with the usual, like exhaust, different manifold etc? also i think you can advance the timing a bit further aswell.

If it is gutless as you are making out, Im thinking a service and a tune wouldnt hurt... a 302 built for gas should get up and go

If you are running straight gas there are a few cheap mods you can do to get it going harder. Gas likes to have its full advance by 2500 - where as petrol likes to bring the curve in gradually. You should also be able to run the timing up a little until it "pings" under load and then back it off untill no detonation is felt under load. I had an Impco 425 mounted on a Holley 600DP baseplate on my 351. It worked extremely well but ran out of gas at 5500...
