Just wondering if anyone has a mass airflow sensor i could borrow to try out on my ef xr8. im 90% sure its the problem but i wana make sure before i go out and buy one. cheers

It is running rough at idle and i have to keep the revs up alot to stop it cutting out. it runs ok under load though.

Sounds like what my car was doing when i left the plug off after removing intaketo do wrk on car. check your wiring at the connector, unplug and plug in again to get fresh bite into connector pins. A ford service dealer should be able to test the resistance and operation of the maf to diagnose it.

If you unplug the MAF while its idling do you notice a major difference? If there is an issue with the MAF, the car will run suprisingly smooth with the MAF disconnected... believe me, I've been down this road ! If the rough idle isn't sorted with the MAF disconnected, the first thin I'd check is the ISC solenoid on the side of the throttle body. Next would be moisture in the Dizzy, which can cause some strange running issues, then fuel filter, plug leads, plugs etc:

thanx 4 ur help guys. i pulled out the injectors 2day to get serviced, incase they were part of the problem and it turns out one of them was basicly pouring fuel. so hopefully thats all it is. wil soon find out, waiting on new injector b4 i can put it back together. ford wanted something like $480 trade price for ONE injector!! obviously i didnt get one from ford...
