Here's a lil story of how i went from :D to  and then to

Thursday night, i headed off to craigs to drop my ute off for my long awaited tune. I left my beast and headed off home in his lil tonka car (as my gf calls it). Happy as can be, but in the back of my head a bit of uncertainty.

Friday morning i get a call from craig, he had a funny tone in his voice, then it all became clear why. He got my car on the dyno, a healthy 201 at the wheels, then came the tune, and this is where it all went wrong. There was an almighty bang from under the car of metal snapping, foam filled the floor and blank looks on everyones face. My tailshaft snapped in 3 :(

After a call to a mate that works at ford, i'm down $800 and now waiting for my new tailshaft. Now im hoping nothing else has been broken under the car otherwise i may not have a car for the drags :(

Check Data's thread on Speed Limiters are good, and you will see how it can happen.

i suggest paying an extra 300 get a nice one from mal wood or somethign rated @ 220kph +
or get a NT tailshaft

Well the tailshaft that was on it was a 1 piece alloy tailshaft, and it just couldnt take the extra power :| In a way i'm lucky it happened now and not on the road or the drag strip. I'm getting a 2 piece one now so i dont think i'll be having anymore problems with it

Just thought i'd fill everyone in on how its going so far. I got my 2 peice pursuit tailshaft in and my tune done last week. Unfortunetly there's something holding my power back :( We are thinking its just the o2 sensors so they getting replaced and then back on the dyno and hopefully we should be able to get around 225-230 at the wheels :D Only managed 211 at this stage
