hey guys

ive got a standard 1992 nc fairlane 302w efi v8

im just curious if a 302w out of a AU3 would bolt straight in as they came out factory with 250kw to 280kw standard

as mine in the fairlane has done 300 000 now and standard new only produced 165kw

and the one i can get from the au3 has only 165000 on it as well

The best you'll get out of an AU 302w from factory is 220kw and that's if you find one out of a late SII or SIII XR8.

If it's a standard item, it'll be 185kw.

Having said that the heads and intake are miles better on the AU V8's so if you're gonna so a swap, it'll definitely be an improvment.

im quite sure it will be a straight swap, altho maybe some sensors are different and could be taken off your old engine and swapped to the au one? im not into the v8s so best to check with a v8 man but it shouldnt be too hard

Use front dress from your car, distributor and harmonic balancer. All e series sensors and engine harness.
