hey guys im swaping my mum my lancer for her 96 fairlane 5L v8 on gas but it isnt running and would like to know some common problems with thes cars as it would be a nice car if i can get it running

possible problems if it wont run on petrol and rough prices for parts
fuel filter $18new
fuel pump relay $95 new, $10 second and at wreckers
fuel pump $80new
distributor tfi module $75new 6cyl one works and is quarter the price

wont run on lpg could be solenoids, $50 odd each
convertor $250+ for new plus fitting
mixture set wrong, or needs adjustment

it is not working on gas and fuel? or does is start and die? More discription of symptoms please.

well it wont start we had a guy look at it and he got it running but no 100% then it sat for 8 months till now wont start on gas or petrol i put new pump and filter in
