Hi All,

Not sure of this has been asked before. How many teeth are there on an AU manual flywheel ring gear? Is this the same as the Auto flexplate ring gear?

Thanks for the reply.

Now that either means the pitch is different or that the overall diameter is different. What I am getting at is can the same starter be used on both? I am doing an auto to manual conversion in an AU.

Diameter is different. 164T is often referred to as being for an 11" clutch(if manual) and 157T is known as 10.5" clutch.
You'll be needing a manual block plate which puts your starter(which are all the same) further in.
