G'day, I'v got an xr8 ba falcon, can any1 tell me where the temp sensor is on these motors ? My motor mechan don't know were it's located. I'm puttin gauges in and i'm not quite sure if it's in the head or it's on the block? What is the easy way to conect this? The guages that i'm puttin in are oil presure, temp, volt. So if any1 knows the easy way around to do this it would be great.

It's in the water crossover tube on the lefthand side of the engine. Take that poxy plastic engine cover off and you'll see it easy.
You'll need to put another sensor in for both your temp and oil pressure gauges because the factory PCM uses the sensors on the engine and sends data to a microprocessor in the cluster.

BTW I'd be getting my car the f**k away from a mechanic who can't even find a temp sensor!
