Anyone know what it is, just gonna ring around for a few prices, though by the looks it seems to be something to bend over for.

ALso if anyone knows where to get one at a reasonable price?

'95 EF XR8 auto, Advance headers, 3" exhaust, Cobra manifold, BBK 75mm throttle body , 80MM Marauder MAF, Vortech V2 T Trim , 307 rwhp, 405 ft/lb 13.2 @ 105 MPH

Now N/A (permanent Lag) - AFR 165's, Comp XE270 cam, 1.6 RR - 269 rwhp 14.1 @ 102mph.

Aftermarket brand is JAS - part # is ANJ089. This is EL V8 style. I bolted it onto my ED.
I got mine thru Odin Auto Parts around $375? about 4 mths ago - but not sure of exact price. Also try Ashdowns.

Are you replacing an existing item ?? If you are, you'll most likely find a new set of bearings and brushes are all it needs - test the field coils and diode pack with a meter. Both the EF I6 and V8 are rated at 110amps (mitsubishi) - the only difference I can see between the two is the upper and lower mounting points are cast at different angles on the front frame - I think you'll find the field coils and rear frame are the same.

are the eb alternators the same as EL so can you fit an eb to a el and vice versa?

They are totally different looking but mount up the same,wiring needs to be modified.
