My son is buying a 400 hp 351 Clevo, all the goodies,4 bolt mains bla bla etc...

Car starts up ok,lumpy cam,but the thing I dont like is the noise it makes from the timing cover

Sounds like a PJ gear drive at 1/2 volume...

The owner dont know what chain is on there, but FMD,a chain shouldn't be noisy...

Or are there some setups that are???

We trust the bloke, cos we know him...

but WTF...,normal oil pump, not a bosch dizzy, BTW...

vik...any clues folks???

Well looks as though it was the power steer pump with no oil in it

Sounds feasable as the car cant be driven,But I dont know what a PS pums sounds like with no oil

Next time we see it,top up with oil and see what gives.
