I have replaced my gt40p heads on my 302 which has a 200kw cam and 1.72 rr with afr 165's and have gapped the plugs at 1.3, would that be the correct gap ? I have also mentioned in another thread that it is an auto and now changes gear at 4700 rpm when it revs right out and not at 5200rpm as with gt40p heads, will a tune fix this as I have it booked on a dyno tomorrow and I want to be sure it is running properly, thanks.

Depends how much power ??
The strength of your ignition ??
If it misses in upper rpm..
I would close the gap to about .85
Or fit a stronger ignition system...??

I never run more than 1.0mm on any EFI windsor no matter what the engine bay decal says. The larger gap just stresses the rest of the ignition system unnecessarily IMO. I have good success on mild performance engines 0.9 - 1.0mm
