Had previously said about putting v8 into an XF or doing up BA etc but am going to change slightly.
Going to have a look at an EF gli V8 tomorrow and will pull the engine and build a 347 stroker with mild cam. Get a hi stall for the m97 and have a bit of fun.
I know I have to do some relief on the block for the rods and am going to look at some new heads etc.
If you guys think of any probs I could have please let us know.

The relief that needs to go at the bottom of the bores is very easy to do.
What sort of heads are you thinking of
What stroker kit you thinking of.
What sort of horsepower/Kw's do you want to achieve

Possibly aeroflow heads or a roller rocker assembled to make it easy for me. Some of the guys I have spoken to say that I should get 500hp with mechanical and electronic mods

Good stuff. No eagle s**t. I'd spring for forged pistons though.

Just another option for you check out the afr heads we are running these on our race car (eb 347 stroker) we were also using a scat stroker kit 9000 series from memory. Are you going to use factory block? If so may i suggest using a stud girdle, helps heaps in strengthening the bottom end. We also use a mellings high volume oil pump. If you need any help/advice just let me know, we produce over 575 rwhp at 6000 rpm with the windsor

talking to Barry from BPT motorsport he suggested the girdle for the bottom as well. he said with mods you can get up to 700hp. dont think i will go that far. thanks for the help so far, will keep in touch

With that sort of horsepower you will need an aftermarket block, with BIG power the windsor engines are renowned for splitting the bores. We split one without the girdle. Are you building the engine yourself mate.

You would probably be surprised how much horsepower you can get for not a heap of money. Try and learn how to do alot of the work yourself, dm me when your ready mate and I'll help as much as i can from victoria.
