Hi guys, as some may have read i have bought a NC with a 5.0 that i am fixing up.

i just have a few questions:

- my car dosnt have the diagnostic port under the fuse box, i read that the port is located next to the brake booster in the looms there. which one is it and how do i put it into the diagnostic mode?

- where are the timing marks located on the 5.0s?

- also where can i find the engine number on these motors?

- also i want to replace the sump plug, are these 1/2" UNF?

- one of the torque screws that hold the bbq plate on is buggered, what size atre the thread on these?

Cheers all and thanks for your help

Engine number: R/H rear of block, under the cylinder head.

Sounds like a Series1? it'll be near the brake booster, should be a 6pin plug or so, like 4 along the bottom, and 2 ontop IIRC.

There all imperal so more than likely, but alot of these have f**k sump plugs in them for some reason :?

BBQ plate?? engine cover you mean? leave it off, wieght reduction
