Guys, it looks like my smartlock ecu has failed and I am hoping that a ecu from a I6 are the same? ED to ED?? Is it possible a faulty ignition barrel???

My car won't start not even a click click and after getting a auto electrician out he found that at the ignition relay there is no negative present..He checked everything else and said the smartlock is faulty..

He gave me a bridging wire to start the car but now can I get a smartlock ecu from a 6cyl and replace it? Just not sure if they are exactly the same?
