hey
my partner owns a bf gt-p and are currently having problems with the brakes squeeling quite loud.
we have tried anti squeel on the rotors but to no avail they keep squeeling.
does anyone no about this or have they had the same problem?

Brake/Rotor combination doesn't like eachother. Try a different set of pads?

Yeah try pads first, should fix the problem, but dont get cheap crap, cos it won't be long before they squeel too. Get some decent ones.

so what brand of pads should i buy that arent expensise or is it goin to be pricey anyway i look at it

yeah we tried that twice but both times they just put ati squeel on them. the second time i said why cant you just change the pads on warranty and the said because its a wear and tear part we cant claim warranty.
oh and yes we have the brembos.
we got a price on the pads and it was $2500 for all 4 tyres

2500 thats unreal sure they didnt say with new discs aswell?! u can get awesome pads for it all round for under $500 without trade discount

Unfortunately it's something that will continue to happen as the brakes are basically under-utilised under normal driving. Even our 2-piston BA GT brakes squeaked occasionally. You need to do some harder barking occasionally to minimise this. We now have a brand new Super Pursuit with the 6 spot Brembo's and I make sure I do some hard braking from time to time 8-) .
Now of course all of this will be much worse if the brakes were not bedded in properly in the first place.
