Hey all,
I have recently decided that I am going to go ahead with the supercharging idea for my XR8, using a raptor kit. But before I do that I have to ask the questions.
1. Are there any engine mods that I have to do to account for the extra power and boost?
2. Do these kits simply bolt in or are there mods that I have to do?
3. With regards to the fuel system, do I need to upgrade the injectors/reg/pump/lines?
4. If the injectors are to be upgraded, will the ECM handle the extra current needed?
5. Will my standard exhaust (with 2.5 cat back) be sufficient?
6. Should I use a high class type of spark plug?

If there are any other things that I have left out please don't hesitate to add. I am looking for between 6 - 9 psi.

Thanks in advance to any and all assistance.

Not a massive amount of power. Am I able to just do the blower for now and do the other bits later if/when I want more?

the heads are to small,gt40p heads and cam, roller rockers, explorer intake, headers will give about 217 rwkw, with stock ecu, what im doing.i think it will be a good set up.you can go more, but then the brakes have to be better, and transmissions and diiffs, may need work as well,to take the motor power, thats he hidden costs.
