Might look for an S1 xr8. S3 xr8's are probably expensive and rare and I want more than a 10kw increase . . . Would get a S3 if I found one at the right price and condition but I doubt it . . . Thanks for that info SWC . . .
And sorry braad someone else will have to answer that for ya  but im fairly sure they are the same blocks . . . Don't quote me tho . . .

None, they are all the same when i comes to the block, basically a late model roller block rated to about 500fwhp.

If I were to do it I think id do the lot - engine, radiator, heater core, header tank, hoses, air intake ect . . .

just buy a new radiator.
The fact the car is overheating while idling points towards a blocked radiator |

Thanks mate . . . But what about my timing chain cover gasket . . . does that nessarcerily need to be completly sealed? And if so why? I dont really want to have to do it coz it will be a pain in the a** - rather spend time on other things. If its not a nessecity for it to be completly sealed I wont worry about it and just get a new radiator but if it is ill just swap everything lol

And yeah proably will be expensive wildeb but I dont want to let go of it and give up on it - everything Ive done to it and spent on it I cant just give up . . . its become a family member if you will lol

If the gasket is leaking im afraid to say it will most likely need to be replaced.
You have to remember that coolant is thinner than water. I would change the radiator first then re pressure test again |

Ah K yeah that sucks. May be a stupid question but why does it need to be sealed? Just to keep water and dirt out?
